Portfolio Offshore
Aibel
Customer: Aibel (end customer – Equinor)
Project: Anti-Ice Aasta Hansteen
Problem/need: To avoid damage to the gas turbines that generate electricity on the platform, an anti-ice heater was needed to preheat the intake air to the turbines.
Solution: We produced custom hot air coils that were placed in the duct air intake, so that sufficient heat to prevent icing was achieved.
Details:
- 2 duct runs of 2 x 200 kW. 690 volts.
- 1430 kg hot air coil per channel run
- Temperature: N/A
- Materials: acid-resistant steel (AISI 316L)
- Ex certified
- Process control: No
Dugeleg
Customer: Dugeleg
Problem/need:
The customer needed a portable air heating device offshore.
This is to achieve satisfactory temperatures in various work areas where required. E.g. when painting, and other temperature-sensitive tasks.
The solution had to satisfy the requirements required offshore, be switchable between several operating voltages, and be able to operate around the clock when it is cold.
Solution: We made a portable frame containing a fan, and an Ex certified electric hot air battery.
Details:
- 35 kW multi-voltage – 400-690 volts
- Size (mm): 1675 x 1086 x 800
- Set point safety thermostats: TSH 50 °C and TSHH 150 °C
- Materials: Acid-resistant steel (AISI 316)
- Ex certified
- Process control: No
