Hi there everyone,<\/p>\n

In conjunction with our work on sustainability and participation in Science Based Target initiative (SBTi), we have been lucky enough to get help from Stian and Live!<\/strong> Both are studying Sustainable Economics by Inland Norway University of Applied Science right here in Kongsvinger.<\/p>\n

I look at the cooperation as a positive thing both for us in Norske Backer and for the students. As a business we hope to gain new knowledge and new ideas, in addition to useful inputs from young people who has a different view than us.<\/p>\n

We have asked the students what they think of the cooperation, and what their expectations are, Live and Stian said:<\/p>\n

It is exciting to be following a real-life sustainability project and Norske Backer from the project start-up, and how it works. It is also very nice and useful learning that we get the chance to link and do the theory we meet every day into practical execution.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We hope and believe that the cooperation will give the students valuable, practical experience from the field they are educating within.<\/p>\n

Stian and Live are on their second semester of a three-year bachelor\u2019s degree. They are, according to the plan, going to work with us and follow our work on sustainability and the SBTi-project throughout their time as students.<\/p>\n

We are excited about this cooperations<\/strong>and are looking forward to seeing what contributions the cooperation will bring, what the effects of the cooperations will bring for both us as a company and for the students.<\/p>\n

Progress on SBTi?<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

We have made a good start with recording our climate accounts, with good help from the guys in Variable \u2013 the platform we use.
\nThe SBTi-initiative is a cooperation between CDP, UNs Global Compact, World Resources Institute and WWF. Since 2015, more than a thousand companies have committed to the initiative to set a science-based climate target.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are planning to commit to the project before summer.<\/p>\n

We are hoping that the cooperation with the students, Stian and Live, will give us valuable inputs to our target setting within all the scopes.<\/p>\n
