Recently we have been fortunate to have a group of eight job specialists from NAV Kongsvinger region visiting us. The purpose of the visit was to explore the possibilities for collaboration to help more people out of exclusion.<\/p>

At Norske Backer, we have a stable workforce with little employee turnover. Therefore, committing to permanent positions is challenging for us. That's why we were very interested in finding out what other opportunities exist through a collaboration with NAV.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Social Sustainability<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

In recent years, we have worked extensively with sustainable development in the company, primarily focusing on the environmental aspect of sustainability. This is important to us as we believe that the social aspect of sustainability is at least as important as the environmental aspect.<\/p>

Therefore, we have also chosen to focus more on the social aspect. Over the years, we have actively sponsored local organizations and initiatives as part of this work, but now we wish to take a more active responsibility for this part of sustainability.<\/p>

This means that we, among other things, have focused on getting more women into the industry, and Norske Backer is generally very committed to equality. This applies both within our own company and with the organizations we sponsor.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Combating Exclusion<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The number of people living in exclusion have drastically increased in Norway, and there are many different reasons for this. Often, it involves people who are at a stage in their life where they do not quite know what they want to work with, or people who, for various reasons, have not been able to gain relevant work experience.<\/p>

SNL (https:\/\/snl.no\/utenforskap<\/a>The Norwegian Encyclopedia (https:\/\/snl.no\/utenforskap) defines exclusion as a lack of social connection to the surrounding community. In other words, people or groups of people who are left outside of society. Without work training or education, an exclusion that is difficult to correct can be created. Exclusion also includes those who lack linguistic or cultural connection to the society, so it affects many levels. \u00a0<\/p>

Norske Backer wants to contribute to this effort.
