For many years, Norske Backer has built up solid expertise in mechanical production. The department plays an important role in the company's offering - both for its own tailor-made heating solutions and for external assignments where customers need customized mechanical solutions.<\/strong><\/p>

What we do:<\/strong>
The mechanical department at Norske Backer is responsible for the production, processing and repair of components with a high degree of customization. Here are some of the main activities:<\/p>

  • Water jet cutting<\/strong>
    Here we cut materials such as carbon or nickel alloy steels, aluminum, titanium and plastics - with tolerances and details that require precision. The working area is up to 3000 \u00d7 1500 mm, and thicknesses of up to 70 mm in stainless.<\/li>
  • Machining<\/strong>
    We offer drilling, milling and turning in various dimensions, with machines such as ARIX, QUASER, DOOSAN, HARRISON and LUMBARDO. Our in-house capabilities for large dimensions and precision requirements enable us to deliver complex and demanding components.<\/li>
  • Metal plate processing<\/strong>
    All the usual techniques we associate with sheet metal processing: shear, cut, bend, roll - as well as acid pickling for surface treatment when required.<\/li>
  • Welding<\/strong>
    We handle a variety of material types: stainless, acid-resistant, carbon steel, duplex and super-duplex, aluminum, titanium, and cast iron. The welding processes we use include TIG, MIG\/MAG, electrode and cored wire. We have the necessary certificates according to NS-EN and Norsok standards to ensure that the quality and documentation are correct.<\/li>
  • Soldering<\/strong>
    Brazing is our primary method for building up heating coils. We can braze materials such as stainless steel, copper alloys and more. All according to relevant certifications (NS-EN standards).<\/li>
  • Internal transport and special trolleys<\/strong>
    Production and assembly of components such as roller conveyors, baggage belts and special trolleys - all tailored to customer needs.<\/li>
  • Service in industry and installation<\/strong>
    We also take on assignments involving the production and installation of sign and monitor mounts, repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment, as well as industrial automation solutions.<\/li>
  • Tanks and containers<\/strong>
    The department has the capacity to produce tanks and containers for various media - such as water, seawater, oil, chemicals, air and gas - with safety and tightness requirements.<\/li>
  • Electrical installation<\/strong>
    In addition to mechanical services, we offer electrical installation: design, programming, production of control panels, testing, sales of electrical components, service and documentation.<\/li>
  • Product development and project planning<\/strong>
    Our employees work with everything from 3D design and technical calculations to simulation and documentation. We also create keyshop animations to visualize solutions before production.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
