ATEX

ATEX is an abbreviation for the French term ATmosphere EXplosive, which in English translates to explosive atmospheres. The term is used in the EU directive ATEX 94/9/EC, which has now been replaced by the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU. These regulations govern equipment and safety systems to be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The zones for which the products are approved are indicated in the certification, so you can safely use them in the right environments without compromising on safety.
