  If a micanite element is encapsulated with a plate and given a flat design, we call it a ribbon element. These are ideal for contact heating of flat surfaces such as molds, tools and vessels.
• Ring elements:
  When the micrometer element is encapsulated with a plate and has a round design, it is referred to as a ring element. These are often used for heating cylindrical surfaces, such as on extruders, nozzles and tanks.

Both ribbon and ring elements benefit from the insulation properties of the micanite combined with the robustness and good heat conduction of the metal casing. This results in reliable and durable heating solutions that deliver even and controlled heat exactly where you need it.
