Norske Backer is a Norwegian industrial company with extensive experience in the development and production of electric heating solutions. The company dates back to 1921 when Christian Backer patented the heating element, and was established as a company in Kongsvinger in 1969.
Today, Norske Backer is the only manufacturer in Norway of such heating elements.
Our approach is based on a combination of technical expertise and close collaboration with our customers. This makes it possible to develop solutions that are tailored to the customer's specific needs, whether for heating air, liquids or gases. The work starts with a thorough analysis of the customer's needs and an assessment of existing installations to identify potential for improvement. Based on this, a tailor-made heating system that ensures both efficiency and safety. Norske Backer follows up with implementation, installation and maintenance, and offers support throughout the product lifecycle.
As part of our sustainability work, we also offer the service Backer Switchwhich helps businesses switch from fossil to electric heating solutions. Backer Switch's process includes advice, cost estimates and implementation. At the same time, it focuses as much as possible on retaining existing facilities to reduce both costs and environmental footprint.
Norske Backer has broad expertise in several different types of heating. We develop and customize solutions for air heating, liquid heating, tool heating and gas heating for demanding industrial processes. We also do this for simpler processes such as heating air for ventilation or pure water heating.
With both production and operations located in Kongsvinger, Norway, Norske Backer has a strong local presence, while also gaining international recognition. Our customers are found in various industries such as offshore, shipping, agriculture and the food industry, and our solutions are known for their high quality, reliability and innovation.
