We are proud of our employees., and want to highlight every single one of them! We want you to have the opportunity to meet all of them, and we have therefore created this «column» where we will be presenting them. Naturally, we will take preferences into account, and will therefore respect it if someone does not wish to be presented, or does not want a picture or name included in the presentation; in other words, you might not find everyone here.

I am the head of the mechanical department here, and I am responsible for the welding and brazing part in Backer certifications and related matters.

My name is Espen, I'm 54 and born in Oslo. I've lived other places, but I'm a Kongsvinger boy.

Must be turning about 14 years old now maybe, so one of the newbies here.

What position do you have and what do you do at work:
I'm actually a structural engineer, so I design and prepare things for production. Then I also work as the IT manager, so I run the IT for the building, plus we actually develop some software here that I work with.

What position do you have and what do you do at work:
My position is Logistics Manager. I work quite a bit with the logistics between us and a large manufacturing company in Poland that belongs to the same corporate group as us. I order goods from them that we resell to some of our largest customers, and I also enter sales orders for these customers and ensure that we receive the goods on time in relation to when our customers want them delivered...

Ewelina Katarzyna Szozda turned 40 this year and is originally from Poland, but has lived in Norway for 22 years now and holds Norwegian citizenship. I moved to Kongsvinger from Jessheim last year and bought a house here. I like the city and everything that is here.

How long have you worked at Norske Backer:
Two months, started January 1st this year (2026)
What position do you have and what do you do at work:
I am the HR and HSE manager, and all other administration – well, people help each other out, so that's just how it is.

Alexander

Aleksander Fossum, comes from Nord-Odal and is 19 years old

How long have you worked at Norske Backer:
Have worked here for almost a year, so not that long, and am still an apprentice and in training.

What position do you have and what do you do at work:
I am a welder, so I am an apprentice welder and make various things, ranging from batteries to junction boxes and a bit of miscellaneous other stuff. For example, things destined for something else that have nothing to do with what we actually do and produce here.

I am what is called a construction manager.
For my part, a lot goes into calculations, support for sales, I also do some construction work/drawing work. Everything.

I am a customer manager – take requests and calculate offers. On the electrical side, I am a designer, so I draw circuit diagrams and create production documents for control cabinets. It is both drawing and ordering of goods.

Everything between heaven and earth. I work a bit here in the special department, I am also HSE manager. I will also become, when I grow up, a quality manager. We have just started training on that.

Now I am the group leader for cutting, i.e. the group that involves water cutting, milling, drilling and turning.
I am mostly work in production, as well as buying tools and helping to distribute the work. I have just recently become a group leader, from September 1st, so I am at the very beginning of it now. So there will be some production and some facilitation for the others in the department.

What is your position and what do you do at work?

I deal with technical documentation, and I am industrial safety manager.
I am responsible for the quality system and the environmental system, through, among other things, certifications. I am often involved in other certifications, although this is not my main responsibility.
I also work a bit with technical drawing.
I write several instructions, as well as compiling documentation packages in project deliverables.

Group leader, I’ve probably been called that for years, between 25 and 30 years.
Everything possible – everything from bending pipes, to clamping pipes, to soldering and making steatite flasks.
