What position do you have and what do you do at work:

• Sales engineer.
• Sells, makes offers and projects for the customer.

What do you like about the job – do you enjoy it?

• It’s varied, and it’s a lot of fun to achieve things the customer wants. And colleagues, and everything here. The atmosphere here in Norske Backer.
• Yes, enjoying myself very well. Retiring this year and I’m ambivalent to it.

How did you find and get a job here?

• Oh, that’s a long story. No, in the previous job I was unhappy. Then I have a friend who was also looking for a job, who looked through Glåmdalen. He came to me with this position, which was in Glåmdalen. I applied for it, and was interviewed by the former general manager, and I got the job.

What education/background do you have:

• I am an electrician and am educated as an electrical engineer.
• I have been at sea, I have worked as an electrical consultant, I have been a buyer in the IT industry. I have been an operating engineer in an electricity company for 10 years. This job, at Norske Backer, is the job I’ve had the longest..

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies?

• I fly fish, I generally like fishing. I have a bird dog and I like to hunt. I have many good friends with whom I have many outings and do a lot with. I also play a bit of golf in my spare time. The bike has been put away, cycled a lot before. I have grandchildren and a wife and everything, so there is plenty to do.

A fun and completely random thing?

• How many countries have you visited?
  • Been at sea and several interrails, so there have been many countries.
• What is your favorite fruit? Favorite dish?
  • Almost all fruit but I am especially fond of grapes. Shellfish.
• Do you sing in the shower? In the car?
  • No, I don’t sing in the shower. In the car it can happen, depends on the mood and if the music I want to hear comes on.
• What do you listen to in the car? Music, podcast, radio, nothing?
  • Mostly listen to the radio, otherwise I have a lot of music from my phone. It’s the rock from the 70s and 80s that I like best though.
