Norske Backer develops and manufactures Ex certified electrical heating products, designed for use in industrial processes and HVAC installations where the risk of explosive gas atmospheres may occur. The solutions we have chosen for our products are developed and certified to be used in the most stringent gas groups. They are certified according to the ATEX and IECEx directives, which apply to electrical and equipment in potentially explosive areas.

Norske Backers Ex certified products can therefore be used in a number of industries where the risk of explosive gas atmospheres may arise. Primarily this will mean the oil and gas industry (both onshore and offshore), marine installations, chemical and petrochemical industries.

Insertion elements:
Flange or threaded head mounted heating elements for direct heating of liquids.
Flow heaters: Heating elements mounted into a tank, heat exchanger or flow-through system dedicated to liquid or gas heating.

Air heating:
Duct mounted hot air coils for heating air. Can be adapted to different duct designs, both rectangular and circular.
